2026 World Championship

We welcome you to the 2026 World Championship on October 10th 2026 in Leipzig. Below you will find soon all information about the beginning and procedure of the championships. The competitions will take place on Saturday. Arrival is possible on Friday. A departure on Sunday. We will publish the exact schedule soon and send it to all couples.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Registration

Please note all registrations must be carried out exclusively through the WDSF Competition Registration System (CRS).

This can be done directly through the WDSF calender and the selection of the relevant competition.

  • 2 nights (Friday to Sunday) in a double room with breakfast
  • shuttle service (Friday to Sunday) between the airport, the partnerhotel and the event location // transfers throughout competition day between hotel and championship hall
  • lunch between daytime event (qualifying) and the evening event (finals) // snacks and drinks

Program

This is the preliminary programm of the WDSF/PD World DanceSport Championship Standard. Changes may occur. 

October 9th, 2026

  • arrival at the local airport / train station
  • transfer to the competition hotel
  • registration for the competition / pickup of competition number cards

October 10th, 2026

  • 11:30 - transfer to the competition hall
  • 12:30 - warm-up
  • 13:00 - presentation of couples and adjudicators
  • 13:15 - round of 16
  • 14:30 -  quarter-final
  • 19:15 - presentation of all couples and adjudicators
  • 20:15 - semi-finale
  • 21:45 - finale

October 11th, 2026

  • transfer to the local airport / train station for departure
